API / ChemSee Awarded Grant for Remote Toxic Gas Detection

The NC Partnership for Defense Innovation held a competition for Fusion Grants to develop novel technology which can be used in both civilian and military applications. Appealing Products, Inc., (API), won first place in the competition out of the 24 companies that competed for the funds. API/ChemSee will receive $50,000. The announcement of the winner was made on April 20, 2011.

This grant will further API’s ability to provide state-of-the-art, flexible detection systems for toxic gases. For additional information on API’s toxic gas monitoring systems, please visit:

The new technology is not yet in the webpage. It uses sophisticated electronic and data systems in addition to the chemical detection technology.
